Friday, Friday, Friday… It’s Friday AGAIN?! And a bank holiday AGAIN?! We swear the banks are always on holiday these days…
How do you like your eggs in the morning? One yolk, two yolks or three? In her sister’s restaurant in Norfolk, Megan Watkins cracked open an egg in to a frying pan to find that the egg had three yolks! The Watkins family keep chickens on a farm and had collected the eggs fresh that morning. In the same batch of seven eggs collected, Megan and her family also found four double yolked eggs, which have a probability of 1 in 1000. What a lucky break (sorry)! Statistically, there is a 25 million to one possibility of an egg having three yolks. Is there a more cracking way (sorry not sorry)to start the week than with a couple of fantastic chance encounters?!
Your weekly wild encounter – we just can’t help but through something animal related in here every week! This one is less on the cute/adorable/funny side of things and more on the OMG HELP side of things. Francie Lubbe was on safari in South Africa camping out when she was interrupted by some visitors of the big cat variety. Two lions approached her tent and began licking the gauze, meaning she was just inches from them. Fortunately the gauze was zipped up and the lions were fairly calm, and she even managed to capture video footage of her amazing encounter. We’re pretty sure she got through by chanting Hakuna Matata. Watch the full video here.
We’ve all run for the bus, but imagine if you had to actually run the bus. That’s pretty much what 66 year old strong man, Manjit Singh, spends most of his time doing. Earlier this week he broke his own record by towing a 12 tonne double decker bus (that’s 24,243 boxes of our lamb kofta salad) using only his brute strength and force. What’s even more remarkable about this feat is that he did it using his pony tail. After a few failed attempts (he washed his hair and it was ‘too shiny’ Singh eventually managed to drag the bus a remarkable 50ft (15.5m.) That’s what we call a good hair day!
On Thursday this week, a father lost his rag at passers by when he was driving around in his car. For some reason, people kept beeping their horns at him. Absolutely certain he was doing nothing wrong, his reaction of rage was understandable. However, little known to the poor man, his son Mitchell had stuck a sign on the back of the car reading ‘honk if you’re’ ahem… Motorists are opportunistic and always up for a good laugh on the road to break the monotony of rush hour and traffic jams. We’re not really surprised that a lot of people were honking their horns…
