After a short hiatus, your weekly insight in to the best ways to spend your weekend is finally back! BLOG11. Urban Beach at London’s Royal Docks

What the heck: Summer time is officially here, and if you’re not managing to escape somewhere sun, sand and sea-filled, you won’t miss out. Here in the Big Smoke, we have the chance to enjoy our very own urban beach! Just a DLR ride away, you can make sandcastles, lounge in deckchairs and gorge yourself on ice cream as you kick back and relax at the sea(dock) side.

BLOG22. Ealing Blues Festival, Walpole Park

What the heck: Get yourself over to Ealing for a weekend of jazz, blues and debauchery at the annual Ealing Blues Festival. This year marks the festival’s 30th anniversary Featuring performances from new-on-the-scene bands to Blues legends across three stages, the festival is set to be seriously groovy.

3. What Soho Wore at The Photographer’s GalleryBLOG3

What the heck: What Soho wore is an exhibition from London-based photographer & writer Nina Manandher. Her blog ‘’ is vastly popular and invites members of the public to submit pictures of themselves wearing particular styles or era clothing to capture style through the years. Now she is asking the public to submit their well-dress Soho based pictures to the project.

BLOG44. Lambeth Country Show, Brockwell Park

What the heck: Roll up, roll up! The fair is in town! Well, not quite a fair, but a country show. This weekend is Lambeth’s annual country show, celebrating all things natural, sustainable and beautiful. The show features multiple ‘zones’ to explore from live music to fresh British produce. There will be a variety of exhibitions on eco life and sustainability, as well as animal shows and live music performances. Food and drink will be plentiful. Get down to Brockwell Park for a hearty, wholesome weekend!

BLOG55. The Chap Olympiad, Bedford Sq. Gardens

What the heck: The British sporting event of the year is finally here! No silly, Wimbledon is over. We’re talking about the Chap Olympiad. Don your finest chap or chapette garments and foxtrot on over to the battle of the Chaps. Witness Charlie Chaplin lookalikes jousting on bikes, or trying to pour tea in to tea cups whilst running. Treat yourself to a picnic in the park, then swing dance in to the night.
